On 23 April, Wafic Said hosted the Annual Dinner of the Said Foundation in honour of students, alumni and partners of the Said Foundation. He presented the Said Foundation Alumni Achievement award to Nadine Kaadan for her unique contribution to children’s literature and her promotion of Syrian culture and heritage (pictured below).
Wafic Said stressed the importance of education as the key to enable people of different religions and cultures to live together in harmony and to rebuild countries torn apart by war. He spoke of the Foundation’s commitment to providing support for higher education and his pride in the partnership with the Rhodes Trust which is extending its network of scholars and alumni to the Middle East.
