On 25 April 2015 Wafic Said spoke at an annual prize giving dinner in honour of students, alumni and partners of the Said Foundation. Mr Said is pictured here presenting the 2015 alumni prize to Dr Yasser Abu Jamei, for his work in neuropsychiatry and community mental health in Palestine.
Mr Said used the occasion to highlight current events in the Middle East, saying that the situation is heart-breaking and emphasising the vital importance of preserving the “wonderful mosaic” of the Middle East because “it is irreplaceable and once lost it will be lost forever”.
